This is the second volume of the "Success Factor Modeling" series by renowned author and consultant Robert Dilts. Success Factor Modeling(tm) is a methodology whose purpose is to identify key characteristics and capabilities shared by successful entrepreneurs, teams and ventures. It then applies these to define specific processes and skills that can be used by others to greatly increase their chances of producing impact and achieving success. Generative Collaboration involves people working together to create or generate something new, surprising and beyond the capacities of any of the group members individually. Through Generative Collaboration, individuals are able to utilize their abilities to the fullest and discover and apply resources that they did not yet realize that they had. They draw new ideas and resources out of each other. Thus, the performance or output of the group as a whole is much greater than it would be if the individuals were working by themselves.

This book describes an entirely new way of conducting hypnotherapeutic interventions - Stephen Gilligan's generative trance. The first generation of trance work, the traditional hypnosis that still holds sway in most places, considers that both the conscious mind and the unconscious mind of the client are, to put it bluntly, idiots. So trance work involves first 'knocking out' the conscious mind and then talking to the unconscious mind like a 2-year old that needs to be told how to behave. Milton Erickson created the second generation of trance work. He approached the unconscious as having creative wisdom and each person as extraordinarily unique. Thus, rather than trying to programme the unconscious with new instructions, Erickson saw trance as an experiential learning state where a person's own creative unconscious could generate healing and transformation. At the same time Erickson, for the most part, carried the same low opinion of the conscious mind. Thus, Ericksonian hypnosis looks to bypass the conscious mind with indirect suggestions and dissociation and depotentiate it with confusion techniques.

Generative and Component-Based Software Engineering

In the past two years, the Smalltalk and Java in Industry and Education C- ference (STJA) featured a special track on generative programming, which was organized by the working group \Generative and Component-Based Software Engineering" of the \Gesellschaft fur ̈ Informatik" FG 2.1.9 \Object-Oriented Software Engineering." This track covered a wide range of related topics from domain analysis, software system family engineering, and software product - nes, to extendible compilers and active libraries. The talks and keynotes directed towards this new software engineering paradigm received much attention and - terest from the STJA audience. Hence the STJA organizers suggested enlarging this track, making it more visible and open to wider, international participation. This is how the GCSE symposium was born. The rst GCSE symposium attracted 39 submissions from all over the world. This impressive number demonstrates the international interest in generative programming and related elds. After a careful review by the program comm- tee, fteen papers were selected for presentation. We are very grateful to the members of the program committee, all of them renowned experts, for their dedication in preparing thorough reviews of the submissions. Special thanks go to Elke Pulvermuller ̈ and Andreas Speck, who proposed and organized a special conference event, the Young Researches Workshop (YRW). This workshop provided a unique opportunity for young scientists and Ph.D.
